Intermediate figure skaters need more support to help more advanced moves. This is when you start to learn single jumps. The boots must have enough support to help with rotation and landing of the jumps over and over. Too stiff boots can hinder the progression of skaters. Intermediate skaters should have boots that are soft enough to help them advance, but not so stiff that they have blisters, knee and hip problems.
